"THE PRIDE OF PROVIDENCE"
MARCHING BAND
The Marching Band meets after school (August - October on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays). No audition is required for freshmen with middle school band experience with the exception of percussion and colorguard students who must audition. All students attend band camp in August at PHS. The Marching Band is composed of woodwinds, brass, percussion and color guard members. Students participate in football games on Friday evenings and band competitions on Saturdays in October, parades and other performances (schedule to be announced). Students may earn 0.5 elective credits each year. Students may also participate in an overnight trip to a competition and/or a bi-annual band trip. Participation fee is required.
The Pride of Providence Marching Band is pleased to announce its 2025 production:
Rise explores the emotional weight of change — the internal battles, moments of doubt, and the unity found in shared purpose. The performance is an ascension, where all elements converge into something greater than their sum, leaving both audience and performers emboldened.
