In Search of the Silver Lining
This year’s production will be in four sections. Each section is inspired by a quote that has its basis in the philosophy of silver linings.
Preshow-Mvt. I:
"It has been said that every cloud has a silver lining....sometimes you just have to search for it."
Mvt. II:
"Often people miss the silver lining because they are looking for gold. It's all in how you look at it."
Mvt. IIIa:
"Humanity is just nasty and there is no silver lining".
Mvt. IIIb:
"You have to do everything you can, you have to work your hardest, and if you do, you have a shot at a silver lining. "
The music for this year’s show is written and arranged by Carol Brittin Chambers. It is inspired by the “Life as a House” Soundtrack, Imogen Heap’s “The Moment I Said It,” Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes,” Samuel Barber’s Symphony No. 2, and Carol Brittin Chambers’ “Aware.”
Percussion arrangements are by Kris Hartman and Manny Maldonado. Color Guard design and choreography is by Emma Boyce. Drill Design is by Matthew McCurley.
