Congratulations to our our 5 students who made All-State Band this year - Hannah Graham, Gavin Kelley, Jamie Lee, Madi Marks, and Emma Nussman.

Congratulations to all of the 40 students who took the audition for All-District Band. We had 13 students selected for a band. Another 9 were selected as alternates. Of those 13, 11 placed high enough to be eligible to audition for All-State Band and 6 of our students had the highest score of the day on their instrument in their age group and will be the principal player.  Congratulations and Well Done!!  Click here for a list of selected students and alternates.

Congratulations to our Chamber Winds who were selected to perform at the inaugural CMS Musical Showcase.  Our students were one of 14 ensembles selected from the 60 who applied.  The students will receive the opportunity to perform on stage at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in March.

The Providence HS Wind Ensemble has been invited to perform at the Music For All Southeastern Regional Concert Festival to be held at Georgia State University (Atlanta) in March 2017.  We are one of just eight high school ensembles to have been selected for this opportunity.

Congratulations to Cameron Betz, Gavin Kelley, Richie Lane, Caroline Macurda, Mitchell Mathews, Madi Marks, Ben Tozier, and Seth Trump for their selection to the UNC-Charlotte Honor Band!!!!

Congratulations to the Pride of Providence for their performance at the Bands of America Regional Championship at Wake Forest.  Competing with 28 bands from 7 different states, Providence finished 15th with the highest score of any band for this area of North Carolina.

Congratulations to the Pride of Providence Marching Band for their performance at the Cuthbertson Showcase of Bands on September 24, 2016.  The band earned top honors in all captions in its class.  It was also named Grand Champion for having the highest score of the day regardless of class!!!

The Providence High Marching Band is inviting all 8th Graders to particpate in

8th Grade Night with the Band/Color Guard on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016.
