2017-2018 News and Announcements

Congratulations is in order for all 11 of our Providence Bands students who auditioned for the All-State Band yesterday.  We congratulate them for having earned the opportunity through their placement at All-District Band and thank them for representing themselves and our school so well.  We are proud to announce the following 6 students earned spots in this year's NCBA All-State Band - Jamie Lee (4th Chair Flute - 11-12 HS Band), Hannah Graham (11th Chair Clarinet - 11-12 HS Band), Gavin Kelley (6th Chair Trombone - 11-12 HS Band), Emma Knox (6th Chair Clarinet - 9-10 HS Band), Madi Marks (11th Chair Clarinet - 9-10 HS Band), and Jeffrey Shao (1st Chair Timpani - 9-10 HS Band)

2018 Providence Bands Spring Concert Part 1 - Thursday, May 3 at 6:30pm in the PHS Mall.  Come enjoy our Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, and Saxophone Ensemble.

**** Providence HS Bands - In Concert March 15, 2018 @ 6:30pm****

Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble performing!!!

Congratulations to all of the students (approx. 30) who took the audition for All-District Band. We had 13 students selected for a band. Another 7 were selected as alternates. Of those 13, 12 placed high enough to be eligible to audition for All-State Band and 4 of our students had the highest score of the day on their instrument in their age group and will be the principal player.  Congratulations and Well Done!!  Click here for a list of selected students and alternates.

Congratulations to the Pride of Providence Marching Band on their Grand Championship at the Mooresville HS Contest

on 10/21/17.  The band also took top honors on the day for Color Guard and Percussion.  

Congratulations to the Pride of Providence Marching Band on their Class Championship at the East Lincoln HS Contest

on 10/14/17.  The band also took top honors in its class for Color Guard, who finished 2nd on the day regardless of class.
