The Providence Cup Marching Band Competition

Update Regarding Providence Cup 2025

Dear Friends of the Providence Cup,

The Providence Cup has become one of North Carolina’s premier marching band competitions thanks to the incredible support of our participating bands, directors, judges, and community. Each year, our commitment to a renowned judging panel, top-notch facilities, and exceptional hospitality has created an event that we are proud to host and you are proud to attend.

This year, the Providence Cup was scheduled for October 25, 2025, and we were thrilled to have already secured an outstanding panel of judges and welcomed early registrations from many ensembles. Unfortunately, due to the resurfacing of our school’s track and the timing of that project, we are unable to use our stadium this fall. After carefully exploring every possible alternative venue, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the 2025 Providence Cup.

We want to be clear: this is not the end of the Providence Cup. Think of it as pressing “pause” (or better yet, "PAWS"). The Pride of Providence and the entire Providence community are committed to bringing this event back stronger than ever in 2026.

We are deeply grateful for your understanding and continued support. The Providence Cup has always been about more than one day of competition. It’s about celebrating the artistry, hard work, and camaraderie of the marching arts.

We look forward to welcoming you back in 2026 to carry on that tradition together.

Prior Providence Cup events have received great reviews from participants and the school has wonderful facilities, including a HIGH press box.
